Open to SOC and security analyst roles

I keep business systems running and secure.

IT operations at Lumen Technologies, with a cybersecurity degree and a security analyst role behind me. Building toward SOC work.

SME Security Framework

Small companies run Windows laptops with no security team and no budget for enterprise tooling. I turned my thesis into a framework that hardens them in one run.

What it does
Audits or enforces CIS Benchmark and Microsoft baseline controls across 9 modules: firewall, BitLocker, Defender, accounts, services, updates, logging and more.
Safety first
Creates a restore point and backs up registry keys and firewall rules before any change. Audit mode changes nothing.
Output
A JSON evidence log per module and a weighted security score.

Experience

    Current role

    IT Operations Technical Support I

Lumen Technologies, L1 service desk. Remote from Warsaw, North American hours.

    • Resolve 120+ incidents and requests a week in ServiceNow for two enterprise accounts, Mativ and Enercare, at 95%+ SLA.
    • Run identity and access in Active Directory and Entra ID: provisioning, group membership, MFA enrolment and resets, under least privilege.
    • Find the real cause, not the reported symptom, and verify every fix myself before the user does.
    • Escalate with reproduction steps and affected users and systems, and write knowledge base articles from resolved tickets.
  2. Nov 2023 - Oct 2024

    Cyber Security Analyst

    Turka Invest, Warsaw

    • Wrote and rolled out company-wide security policies, cutting recurring incidents by 75%.
    • Ran vulnerability assessments and internal penetration tests, with risk-rated findings and step-by-step remediation.
    • Deployed and ran ESET endpoint protection and EDR at 100% patch compliance.
    • Wrote incident reports and ISO 27001-aligned documentation.
  3. Jun 2023 - 2026

    President

    European Student Society, Vistula University

    • Grew the society from zero to 275+ members, leading a 10-person board.
    • Managed a 17,000+ PLN budget across 80+ cultural, academic and charity events.

How I work a ticket

The same six steps whether it’s a locked account or a security alert. Shown here on an example: a recurring account lockout.

  1. Triage

Read what the user actually reported, set priority from impact and urgency, and note the SLA clock.

P3, single user blockedSLA: respond 1h, resolve 8h
  2. Reproduce

Recreate the issue myself before changing anything, so the fix is aimed at the real problem.

    1. Sign in on the user's laptop
    2. Account locks within minutes
    3. Happens again after a reset
  3. Find the cause

Go past the symptom. Event logs and sign-in data usually show where the problem really starts.

    EventID 4740 account locked out
    Caller: LAPTOP-0231 (old mapped drive)
Cached credential from before the reset
  4. Fix

Apply or configure the fix with the least privilege that does the job.

    > cmdkey /delete:fileserver01
    > Unlock-ADAccount -Identity <user>
  5. Verify

Test it myself first, then ask the user to confirm. That is what keeps reopened tickets low.

    • No lockout after 30 minutes
    • Drive maps with new credentials
    • User confirmed
  6. Document

Close with clear notes, or escalate with reproduction steps, affected systems and the user's wording translated into internal terms. Recurring fixes become knowledge base articles.

About

I studied Computer Engineering with a cybersecurity specialisation at Vistula University and graduated in 2026 with a 4.82 / 5 GPA. My thesis built a threat detection and mitigation framework for small companies.

Day to day I work tickets end to end: reproduce the issue, find the real cause, fix it, verify it, and document it. I’m studying for CompTIA Security+ and moving toward SOC and vulnerability management.
